The idea called Rachnoutsav
It all began at a party in 1996. Rakhi was returning from a party thinking how it lacked the one element it was supposed to highlight – the reason for celebration. She was instantly hit by a brainwave of ideas that could have made the celebration aspect of that party very special. Surprised by her own creativity, she pitched this idea of making special and memorable celebrations for people to her husband Sanjay, who proved to be an initially hesitant but enthusiastic partner. Thus began the story of Rachnoutsav, the celebrations people, with just two people and their ideas.
We soon started building the reputation of people who genuinely cared for your celebrations, who wished to see you happy and who could walk along with you in the way you planned a celebration. One celebration led to another and soon we had a pocket full of memories when we were challenged to conceptualize the home coming celebration of Hyderabad’s own child and beauty queen, Diana Hayden, Miss World, 1997. Not only did
Rakhi and
Sanjay win their first
corporate event pitch with creative ideas against the reigning giants in the events space but also created the first major traffic hold up on the Necklace road, Hyderabad for welcoming Diana home. Consequently the nature of work and the teams began to grow. We had 4 people with us in the year 2000 and by 2006 we had a team of 9 people. For us it was always about the potential of a single person rather than a bigger team. Our teams were always more agile, more innovative and therefore more productive.
Rakhi,
Sanjay and a growing team also created many firsts in event management. And then out of the blue came the darkest hour of our journey, which made the year 2007-2008 a tough year for all of us. Rakhi fell seriously ill and we did not have the heart to go on without her active participation, so Rachnoutsav had to close operations. But destiny had other plans for us; Rakhi not only recovered from the debilitating illness but also came back to the game with renewed vigor and that sparked up the entire team. However business scenarios were changing and the need for a corporate entity was more imminent; therefore
Rachnoutsav Events Private Limited was incorporated in 2007 with a team of less than 15 people and marked a new landmark in their celebrations journey. This is when
Amrit sowed the seed of
professionally managed weddings. He joined the team with a fresh lease of ideas. While he is an independent player, he is the main facilitator when it comes to making dream weddings a reality. Their wedding ideas, like everything else went on to be hugely popular with their clients for they cared only for two things – the client’s happiness and the memories people took back.
The enthusiasm, creativity and attention to detail that they paid in the first event continues even today as they remain the preferred choice for organizing corporate events, weddings and conferences across the country. And yes it all began at a party in 1996 – with one simple idea.

Rakhi: The genesis of this celebrations journey, she is the execution and administration brain behind the inception and the growing acceptance of Rachnoutsav in the market place today as a full spectrum events company. Sanjay: Give him a plain paper and he will conceptualize a fantastic event, that’s Sanjay, the creative genius behind the success of Rachnoutsav. Heavy Rains, cancelled permits for events, damaged props, tantrums of performers and many last mile glitches are a part of every event’s DNA. And yet when you see a successful event where every thing seemed to flow like music, then there is a very dependable person grazing his elbows for the success of the event. Clients have respect for him professionally and admiration personally. He makes the business of reaping happiness complete along with Rakhi.
Amrit: Amrit is the new blood, fresh ideas and is responsible for building the entrails of the Wedding Planning journey of Rachnoutsav as a facilitator. He is responsible for leading the brand values that Rachnoutsav, The
Wedding Planners has created for itself together. He comes with all the values Rakhi and Sanjay believe in and has newer ideas that are taking Rachnoutsav into newer orbits.
